What is Tapical?
Tapical connects physical NFC products to online destinations. Your account has a permanent Tapical URL. Choose a public profile or redirect it to your primary link. Products and device activation are coming soon.
How does NFC work?
NFC stands for near-field communication. Hold a compatible phone close to the NFC tag to read its link, then open the notification. The card itself does not need a battery.
Do customers need an app to use Tapical?
No Tapical app is needed. A compatible phone opens the link in its browser. The destination may have its own sign-in requirements.
Can I change my link later?
Yes. Add or edit links in your dashboard, choose a primary link, and select redirect mode in settings. Your permanent Tapical URL stays the same, so a card containing that URL does not need to change.
Do I need to rewrite the NFC card when I change my link?
No. The NFC card stores a permanent Tapical URL. Updating the destination changes the server-side redirect, not the data on the NFC chip.
Does Tapical work with iPhone?
iPhone XS, XR and newer models generally read NFC links in the background. Older supported models may require an NFC reader. Unlock the phone and hold the top edge near the card. Compatibility depends on model and settings.
Does Tapical work with Android?
Most Android phones with NFC can read website links. NFC may need to be enabled in settings. The antenna location varies, so try the center or upper back of the phone.
Can I use Tapical for Google Reviews?
Yes. A Tapical destination can point to your Google Business Profile review link. Customers may need to sign in to Google. Ask for honest feedback without incentives or filtering customers by sentiment.
Can I use Tapical as a digital business card?
Yes. Point your NFC business card to an existing contact page or professional profile. A built-in advanced profile builder is not part of this first release.
Is a Tapical account required?
Visitors do not need a Tapical account to open a link. Owners need an account to manage their profile, links and redirect settings. Purchasing and hardware activation are coming later.
